a chinese-yet-feels-so-japanese trip

ni hao! =D
and happy new year everybody! (sorry for being super late) this is my first post in 2013. i'm so grateful for the fact that 2012 wasn't the end of the world and really really grateful for all the fun i had on new year's eve with my luvli chingus kiki + fitri (well my definition of a fun new year's eve is streaming gayo with your chingus, doing the new year countdown together with oppars + unnirs, & screaming happy new year at 10 o'clock since KST is 2 hours ahead of WIB) HEHE

by the way, i'm not going to talk about how i spent my new year's eve in this post. i'm going to tell you about my trip to Hong Kong!!!! (the trip is actually 4 months ago lol) i went there without any helps from travel agent so i'm kind of proud of myself bcs i successfully brought my sister + mom to HK and back home safely. well there was a lil bit chaos before the trip because i booked my flights and hotel via website and turned out that the e-mail i was using to book the flights and hotel was blocked. thank god the jetstar ppl were nice and helped me to change it to my other e-mail *PHEW*

my favorite part of a trip is making the itinerary since i hate packing so much =P
the trip went reaaaaallllyyyy well despite all the soreness that my legs had to suffer. o and by the way it was winter in HK tho it didn't snow i still had to wear my coat or at least wear long-sleeves. this season allows ppl to wear qt stuffs like furry boots or qt leg warmers; i saw lots of ppl in HK wore those stuffs.
me + sister super like wandering in Causeway Bay area at night (mom was too lazy to leave the hotel). in our l8 night walk, we discovered two qt shopping places; LaForet & Island Beverly. these two places sells luvli japanese x korean clothing but sadly, they're quiet expensive :(:(:(

actually, the highlight of my trip was......the discovery of the hidden Bunkaya Zakkaten!!!!!!
let me tell you what it is. Bunkaya Zakkaten is a japanese store that's full of weird x kawaii handmade things. this japanese store was on top of my 'where to go in hk' list yet my visit to this store was the last thing i did on my last night in HK. i went to search for this store on my last day in HK only with my sister as my companion (sounds like an adventure!) but we failed to find it on our 1st attempt since there was nobody to ask. i'm so glad i didn't give up because on our 2nd attempt (now with my mother), we finally discovered it! the location of the store is really unexpected; which makes it hard to find bcs it is hidden among the garage and window workshops. my first step into the store. felt. japenesely. amazing. (?)

WELCOME!

wish i had bought these qt rings :(

what i bought:
it's the plastic bag!

i should have bought more things without thinking too much :( oh well.

Why Do We Fall?

i just took a shower, and this thought suddenly hit me: "what is my favorite movie quote?" i have never been a big fan of quotes, it's even rare for me to use it as captions for my posts on instagram or anywhere else. well, i have to admit that it's pretty often for me to come across an inspiring quote that's very relevant to my situation. but still, i don't see why i have to use it for a photo caption that really doesn't have anything to do with the post (even when it does, it's just not my style lol ok what style) anyway, my favorite movie quote. why does it have to come from a movie? because i'm not really a book person so the chance is very low for me to find my fav quote from a book. then from a movie it will be! i'll start with what are my favorite movies. i am a very VERY VERY big fan of studio ghibli movies but i don't really find any lines that i could use as my fav quote (but believe me all the movies are marvelously inspir...

About FELEGRIFITO...

Me, and whoever reading this blog, should not be surprised of how incompetent myself on being committed to regularly update this page. Anyone can tell by how many times I had written this commitment on several of my posts. I will just stop trying to trap myself into such 'big' commitment. I can't even make myself watch a full series that consists of 14 episodes, with 1.5 hours long per episode. I'm not down for such a commitment....weird I know. Anyway, I'm currently streaming Julie & Julia but the internet is horrible. And to add, this is a Sunday. My favorite day out of all the entire week. Yet, today is only filled by clouds and rains. Not at all my cup of tea, I only dig sunny Sunday. So, what is FELEGRIFITO ? People often ask me since I keep using this name on so many things. My e-mail ( not for the professional one of course, I mean I know I'm weird but not to that extent seriously ), then my Instagram, and basically everything. I even put it on my cus...

girls just wanna have fun!

first of all i'd like you, whoever you are who stumbled upon this post to check this out; a luvli (will never quit saying luvli instead of lovely) cover of Cyndi Lauper's song Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by George Ezra <3 & yes indeed that's all i want: f-u-n. no matter how busy & tiring my day was i would at least reward myself for going thru such hard day with a little fun, like having a me-time driving around & eating sushi & finish the day with a dessert. sweet, happy, fun way to end a hard day. or just simply sleep, which also a fun way to escape all the hardships of life for only hours yet it is surely effective :D by the way i just had another amazing-a-bit-stressful holiday trip to UK with only & only my sis! amazing? yes of course it was amazing to successfully visit UK and back again to Indonesia with your own itinerary. but stressful? yes it was also stressful! it was my 1st time going outside asia & having only my si...
